Francisco Javier Tirado Suárez holds a PhD in Law from the University of Bologna (Italy) and Seville since 1974 and, since 1986, he has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
Between 1972 and 2020, he taught Commercial Law at the Universities of Cádiz, Seville and Complutense de Madrid, carrying out studies in the field of Banking and Insurance Law, with emphasis on the protection of users and the principles of liability and solvency. As a professor of Commercial Law, he has published numerous works on Insurance Contracts, Insurance Companies and Insurance Mediators. He has also provided legal advice to renowned entities, as well as to the Spanish Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Entities (UNESPA), the Federation of Independent Users and Consumers (FUCI) and the Association of Users of Banks, Savings Banks and Insurance Companies (ADICAE).
Due to his close ties with the academic world, Francisco has published several articles in specialized legal journals. Likewise, during his professional career, he has been a member of the Spanish Section of the International Association of Insurance Law (SEAIDA), member of the Advisory Board of Insurance and Pension Funds, corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Legislation and Jurisprudence (RALJ) and member of the Academy of European Iusprivatists of Pavia.
